Alta Oviedo, developed by Alta Real Estate for Harrison Street Real Estate and Nexo Residencias (Global Student Accommodation), has received the BREEAM ‘Good’ certification. In achieving this, Alta Oviedo has become the first student residence in Spain to receive this certification, as well the first private investment building in Oviedo to become BREEAM-certified.
BREEAM (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Methodology) is the most technically advanced method for assessing and certifying sustainability in buildings. The evaluation of buildings with this system is carried out using a number of credits divided into different groups, in order to identify and reward those measures which improve the well-being of the occupants and contribute to the protection of the environment.
